El Colorado ski resorts are located 90 minutes from Santiago, and offer some of the best skiing in Chile.

Private transportation from HIKE CHILE will pick you up at your hotel in the morning to transfer you to the El Colorado ski resort for your full day ski.

​

Because of its beauty and proximity to the capital of Chile, El Colorado is the most popular winter resort among Chileans and probably the oldest; since the 1930s the first skis brought from Europe began to be tested on their slopes.

Just 39 kilometers from the city of Santiago, it forms, together with the neighboring complexes of La Parva and Valle Nevado, one of the largest and best ski centers in South America.

With a maximum height of 3,333 meters above sea level and a drop of 903 meters, El Colorado has a system to create artificial snow, thus ensuring the duration of the snow throughout the season.

Twenty tracks and eighteen lifts allow you to enjoy skiing and snowboarding with very good snow quality, as well as offering the possibility of off-piste skiing, both for beginners and experts.

In the town of Farellones, the oldest and most traditional, and in the modern place of El Colorado, an interesting infrastructure of hotel and gastronomic services is displayed, among which stand out today the hotel Colorado and the Posada de Farellones, the first hotel that was established in the place.

ITINERARY

 

We suggest the following itinerary, however, according to your needs:

• 7:00    Departure from the hotel in Santiago.

• 7:30    Stop at the local rent ski shop to pick up your equipment.

• 09:00  Arrival at the ski resort, orientation to the mountains and exit to                 the ski slopes.

• 13:00  Lunch in restaurant El Parador.

• 16:30  Closing ski center and return to your hotel.

• 18:30  You will be in your hotel in Santiago.
